* About Wired and Unplugged *
HISTORY

Rick and Kathy Jacobson opened Wired and Unplugged Internet
Coffeehouse in June of 2004 with a focus on creating a venue for local
musicians. Upstart songwriter Rory Corbin was introduced to the
Jacobsons by fellow songwriter Beth Whitney a week before the opening
of the new venue. Upon discovering there was no current music program,
Rory offered to host an open mic on Friday nights. Over three years this
event has since grown to become the social hub for the community of
Wired & Unplugged musicians.

On May 29, 2007 the sale of Wired & Unplugged transferred ownership to
Paul Henderson and Kim Longmore, avid local music supporters as well
as performing musicians. With a mission to preserve the heart of Wired &
Unplugged's community they are step by step expanding the amenities
and quality of service. After a whirlwind remodel Wired & Unplugged now
features a vastly expanded kitchen, increased menu as well as a new
stage and sound booth in the music room. Ongoing improvements will
continue to take place over the coming months.

The coffee house is located in two storefronts of a 100-year-old building
near the river in old Snohomish (
map ).

The coffeehouse has wi-fi, hard cable hookups for those with laptops but
without a wireless card, and a desktop computer.  Computer and wi-fi use
are free with purchase.

Enjoy wonderfully rich Brown & Co. fair-trade, organic coffee and get cozy
with your laptop or a book at one of our tables or on our cozy couches.
